Today in Stevens Point, WI around 11:30am attendees for the Stand Up For Religious Freedom Rally started arriving and they kept coming.

The rally team was ready to hand out signs, fact sheets, buttons, American flags, red, white & blue balloons.

The excitement was in the air. At Noon sharp we started with opening prayer by Father Greg Bohren and he also read a letter from Bishop Callahan of the Diocese of La Crosse.

After Father Bohren, Phil Lawson, Director of Catechesis and Evangelization at St Peter’s Church talked about those who have done extraordinary things to defend their religious freedoms. Peggy Hamill, State Director of Pro-Life Wisconsin followed Phil who spoke on the history that brought us to the HHS Mandate.

And lastly, Rachel Campos-Duffy spoke on how we have to stand strong and defend our faith as Christians and Catholics.

After the talks there was a time of witness and prayer. The hour ended with thanks you to everyone who came out such great numbers and a then closing prayer by Deacon Art Schaller.
