Helen Alvare Gives a Shout Out to the March 23 Rally
Posted by Eric Scheidler (March 18, 2012 at 4:21 pm)
George Mason Law School professor Helen Alvarez appeared on EWTN’s The World Over with Raymond Arroyo last week and gave one of the most articulate accounts of what’s wrong with the HHS Mandate that I’ve seen.
Professor Alvare talked about her open letter to Obama and Sebelius telling them they don’t speak for all women, explained why the HHS Mandate is unconstitutional and debunked the myth that there’s some kind of “crisis” in contraceptive coverage. She also encouraged people to come out for the March 23 Stand Up Rally! Check it out:
I plan to attend the rally in Garden City, NY but I also want to sign my name to Prof. Alvare’s list. How can I but keep it simple, only semi=literate on this computer. God Bless you all for taking action against the forces of evil. Mrs. Ann Brzezinski

Before leaving for the rally tomorrow go to:
womespaekforthemselves.com and print the letter to read and sign up sheets and get more ladies names.
Write your Congressperson H.R.1179 and support Rep. Thortenberry’s legislation, “Respect Life and Conscience Act”.
Also go to: majorityleader.gov and see if we as citisens be co-sponsers, I know the majority leader is arrangung such on Face book to do this. Not sure I can because I do not have Facebook. Going to try.
Write letters to the editor and make the case for Religious Liberty and down play the nonesense of the other. Especially as women advise of your particular sensitivity to this issue and your not wanting your core beliefs violated by this mandate.
Women, please download the letter (Helen Alvare’s Womenspeakforthemselves letter), inculuding the 23,000 + and counting names and as a group go to see your Congressional Representative.
All of the above was was pleaded by Helen Alvare and Congressman Thortenberry last night on a web cast.
After you get names at the rallies e-mail Helen@speaksforthemselves.com or helen@womenspeakforthemselves.com

Before printing it out, I removed all references to President Obama from the “Stand Up for Religious Freedom” fact sheet. I find Obama-bashing not to be required for the effectiveness of this argument, and in fact offensive to me. I’m sure such an attitude, in addition to being non-Christian, will turn (and has turned) many away from considering our position who would otherwise have been strongly in support of it.
I find the fact sheet to be no less convincing or informative without what I believe to be the unkind and un-Christian references to our president.
I am shocked and troubled greatly by what I believe many of his policies have done and are doing to our nation, but I choose to believe and try to obey Jesus in his leading to love our enemies and pray for and bless those who persecute us.
Praise God!
Amen
…looking to Jesus…

After submitting my prior comments, I noticed this right above where I am now typing this. We are told that, if we would like to reply, that in order to:
“…ensure constructive dialog, the following will not be tolerated:
“Personal attacks
Profanity or obscenity
Misrepresentation
Copyright violation…”
I believe that the phrase “Obamacare” is a form of a personal attack on President Obama. I’m grateful that I’m not tied to some of my mistakes with such an … I forget the word! 🙂 Does “sobriquet” work?
Thanks again, and praise God!

What a shame that our very own, Arch Bishop of Los Angeles will not be at a rally… at least according to the list provided. Sadly I am discovering he is drawing allegiance and supports many marxist groups and their activities…certainly many views that go against our Magisterium. Such as “La Rasa”, allowing the Gay, lesbian, homosexual, transcended groups speak and lecture about tolerance at Catholic conferences, etc. I thought Cardinal Mahoney was a lost, and so liked forward to his retirement. But for this? Defeated the true shepards of the church??? Certainly NOT in Los Angeles…and sadly not in Orange County with, “Don’t take Communion on your knees,Cancel the Latin Tridentine Mass, offer Mass while dressed as a demon during holloween, Bishop Todd Brown.
