President Obama Claims To Be a Champion of Religious Liberty in New Web Ad

President Obama has just released a new web ad, in which he he claims to be a defender of religious freedom and a great admirer of the contribution of faith in our public life.
I take great encouragement from President Obama’s latest web ad—not because I believe a word he says, but because it shows that our massive, grassroots campaign to stop Obama’s HHS Mandate and restore religious freedom is working.
President Obama realizes he’s vulnerable on the religious freedom issue. It shows he’s worried—and he should be, especially with the next wave of nationwide Stand Up for Religious Freedom rallies coming on October 20, just 17 days before Election Day.
If President Obama really valued the role of faith in public life, he wouldn’t be trying to force employers to violate their religious convictions. He wouldn’t be willing to see institutions like Christian Colleges and Catholic Hospitals shut down rather than submit to a mandate that forces them to violate their core values.
Obama’s record shows that his “unwavering commitment” isn’t to religious liberty, but to the radical pro-abortion agenda of Planned Parenthood.
We who are rallying for religious freedom across the United States will not be mollified by pretty words about the American tradition of religious liberty. If President Obama wants to show that really means what he says in this video, he will rescind the HHS Mandate.
I agree with the principles of Stand Up for Religious Freedom. However, I’m disappointed that the language that is being used in Facebook commentary is “kinda snotty,” if you will: “This is a BIG spew of chocolate-coated verbal garbage. How stupid and maleable DOES he believe we are???” Take it up a notch, please. I cannot stand PROUDLY if you behave badly.

Proud and excited to see Eric Scheidler so outspoken about the President’s “campaign-speak” regarding our religious liberty. Will distribute this article wherever I can on a local level to alert the community to Mr. O’s latest attempt at pulling the wool over our eyes.

PLEASE–did you see the message from Our Holy Father in JANUARY!! WARNING U.S. Bishops to “wake up” to the grave threats to the Church being posed by the radical secularism??

Why aren’t the US bishops rallying the people in the pews? Why isn’t there more organization? There is power in numbers. We need to organize and protest huge in huge numbers to get our message in the liberal media & bring the issue in the open. We must demonstrate to Congress and to the courts the violation of our rights under the US Constitution that the HHS mandate is shoving down our throats and the throats of our Protestant brothers and sisters.
