“We are all Cristeros now!” Rain no detour for religious freedom lovers in San Diego

Posted by Mary Moran (October 26, 2012 at 4:11 pm)

Nearly 1000 believers of religious freedom rallied in the rain at the October 20 Stand Up For Religious Freedom rally in San Diego.

Ecumenical speakers included Evangelicals, Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints, Catholics and more – all standing together to defend the Church.

The lively diverse crowd included all age ranges and ethnic backgrounds. The rally site was a heavily trafficked area in Balboa Park. Hundreds of cars and pedestrians passed by – many stopped to hear the rally speakers. “We are all Cristeros Now” said one of the speakers. And the crowd chanted back: “Viva Cristo Rey, Viva Cristo Rey!”
