Over 140 Cities Rally against Obama’s HHS Mandate

When we first announced that the Nationwide Rally for Religious Freedom would be held on Friday, March 23rd, 30 cities signed on immediately.
That number quickly grew to 60. Then 80.
Then it topped 100. Then it grew to 120, then earlier this week went up to 130, and now the number stands at over 140!
One of the newest sites, added just yesterday, is Boston, where a Rally will be held in Boston Common—the oldest park in the United States.
Earlier plans to hold a Rally there never materialized, so we were thrilled when a new Rally Captain stepped forward this week and volunteered to take on the significant legwork involved at this late day to make sure a Rally would be held in this historic American city.
Other Rally sites added just in the past few days include St. Louis, Missouri, Davenport, Iowa, Redding, California, and—wait for it—Las Vegas!

The 1st Amendment is this
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
The Affordable Care Act, has no legislation that affects the Church, it is exempted from law as per the 1st amendment.
Your provision that a Employers Religious Beliefs be used to determine Employee’s Health Care is in fact a violation of the 1st amendment.
A Church is not a Hospital, there is no law that requires a Church to provide Health Care.
A Hospital is not a Church, when a Religious Organization Volunteers on their own volition to create a Business, they are no longer a Church, and in this case they are a Employer of a Hospital; and are subject to Employer Standards across America.
When a Employers and in your Idea of a Employers Own Religion Belief’s be a Legal Standard in providing HealthCare is in Fact a Violation of the 1st Amendment. and violation of the Employee Right to Health Care. An Employer has no right to restrict or define access to Health Care
An Employer is not a Medical Person, and cannot practice medicine without a medical degree upon a person.
And you are a Congressman, and need to uphold the Constitution. Why are you not doing that?

Are you aware of how it is that we even have hospitals in this country? Look it up. How did they come about to begin with? Who opened them? Who staffed and financially supported them?
When you look at the history of hospitals, you can come to only one logical conclusion: our hospitals are the direct result of putting Christian beliefs into practice. They came about as the free exercise of religion. Are there godless hospitals now? Obviously. But that is not the history.
You are mistaken.

Thank you for your civility, it is so desperately needed in this debate. I think the part of the First Amendment that you may be over looking is the free excersize clause.
When I practice my Catholic faith with fidelity, which requires living it out and not just going to church (you might agree here that not practicing what you preach could be a bit hypocritical), and then I get fined for it by the federal government, my First Amenment Rights are being violated.
If this is allowed, it is only a matter of time before your inalienable right to exercise your beliefs or non-beliefs will also be violated.
Therefore, we are standing for every man, woman and child in America and around the world. We are standing for those who have given their lives for the right of religious liberty. We are standing for the hope this nation was founded on. Will you stand with us?

The list of states with rally locations ends with New York. Where are the other states? Were they accidentally left off?

I haven’t had this problem. Maybe try closing your browser and clicking on the purple locations button-located on the left of the site-after you re-enter the site. If you still can’t read it, possible try the other contact information listed to the right of the screen or post a location of interest and someone will probably be able to help.

We had our rally today in Cincinnati in the pouring rain, and still hundreds turned out! These rallies were a great idea!

Dear Citizens of the U.S……we are in need of all of your help to stand up for Religious freedom not because you are Catholic , but because we all are christian , created by God and we need to stand up to the ones who are not americans or Christians and let them know how and what we feel…..this is America folks …Stand UP!!
