Religious Freedom Mass and Rally in Milwaukee

Posted by JayEgan (June 15, 2012 at 2:09 pm)

The rally in Milwaukee on June 8 was somewhat unique, since it primarily consisted of a Mass and Rosary with Eucharistic adoration followed by protesting on the sidewalk. The event took place at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, perhaps the best parish in the Milwaukee archdiocese.

It was attended by 168 people, 100 of whom took to the sidewalks afterwards, holding signs and a banner, as well as waving American flags. The local newspaper, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, mentioned the event and included pictures.

Thanks to all the people who helped put this together: the volunteers who also worked with 40 Days for Life, our priest, and the generous people at St. Anthony of Padua who put on such a beautiful liturgy to give praise and glory to God.

Temecula, CA appearance and speech , State Senator Joel Anderson

Posted by Deb Kavanagh (June 15, 2012 at 1:36 pm)

Temecula , CA rally drew a crowd of over 200! That is outstanding considering all the events going on that day around the area, with graduations etc.

We started the rally a few minutes early because I wanted to share with the crowd a speech given by Ronald Reagan, before he became president and even before he became governor. The prophetic words of Ronald Reagan were so telling and I wanted to share this speech he gave on Socialized medicine back in 1961.

We had 8 great guest speakers; including Senator Joel Anderson, Kristina Garza from Survivors of Abortion Holocaust, Fr. Ed Gomez from St. James the Lesser Catholic Church in Perris CA, who led us in opening prayer. We had Dr. Theresa Stigen and her husband Shilo, who have a Naprotechnology business called Mystical Rose, w ho were educating the crowd on how advance we have become in natural family planning technology which I felt is significant in this culture of death where “contraception” is the pushed as the only method to planning pregnancy. Dr. Theresa Stigen was also on ETWN Radio June 9, the day after the rally. [Continue reading …]

Gaylord Michigan Stands Up!!

Posted by Kelly Korson (June 15, 2012 at 1:02 pm)

Hearts and hands gathered downtown Gaylord on Friday June 8th to unite as never before. We stood on a busy intersection praying and holding signs to let the world know we notice, we care, and we will not remain silent as our own government tries to take away what so many have scarified and died for in our country – our Religious Freedom!

When the prayers were finished…Father James Bearss, who rode his bike downtown, was followed by many faithful to underneath the pavilion where dedicated volunteers greeted all those who attended. Every speakers was dynamic and represented a delightful cross section of varied faith denominations & ages.

Great passion was sparked and all left with a desire to do more! Gratitude, thoughtfulness, and a plan on how to make this a better country flooded our souls…Lord be with us all!

A group of about 1000 appeared in front of the Denney Federal Building in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska, on June 8, 2012.  Lincoln Right to Life, Regnum Christi, and the Nebraska Family Council sponsored the rally on the warm June day.

The crowd was composed of Catholics and Protestants, primarily.  For a town of under 300,000, the organizers were pleased with the turnout.

Crowd of 130 Attends Stand Up Rally in Bloomington

Posted by Martha Silva (June 15, 2012 at 9:40 am)

A crowd of 130 attended the Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally in Bloomington, Indiana on Friday, June 8.

We only had one negative comment — “Go home!” — from a passerby, but otherwise there were no conflicts.

More importantly, it was quite clear that the people of Bloomington had a chance to see that its citizens refused to let the government take over their lives. Many of the local people paused to listen to a speaker or two before moving on to their destination; a few people both young and old stopped by to join the rally; drivers and their passengers looked and listened as they were stopped at the streetlights.

The rally was a great success and brought together multiple organizations and churches.

In the week following the rally, Bloomington’s city council refused Planned Parenthood a grant for the first time in 14 years! Slowly, but surely, the people of Bloomington are realizing the effects of destructive regulations mandated by the government.

Over 100 Rally for Religious Freedom in Charlotte

Posted by Brice Griffin (June 15, 2012 at 8:00 am)

Over 100 concerned citizens gathered in protest in Charlotte on Friday, June 8, showing concern over the Obama administration’s HHS mandate.

Attendees showed support in applause when guest speaker Cindy Brown, Vice Chair of Feminists for Life, exclaimed that the so-called “war on women” is “categorically absurd!” And cheered when she explained that the “right to free exercise of religion is a fundamental right of all people, not a privilege granted by any government.”

The momentum built when Dr. Matt Harrison, from Northgate Family Practice, was introduced. Dr. Harrison’s practice does NOT prescribe birth control, nor does he prescribe Viagra outside of marriage. If an abortion-minded woman chooses life for her child, he will provide prenatal and delivery care free of charge. He summed up his position by saying, “The government wants me to be a gumball machine. Put in your premium and get a gumball!” [Continue reading …]
