Last week began the implementation of the so-called Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), including its coverage for abortion, subsidized by us, the American taxpayers.
As the funding battle continues to rage in Washington, you’ll want to check out the resources listed below to help you get informed and fight back.
First, a coalition of pro-life groups has put together an easy way for you to write Congress about Obamacare and demand health care that does not pay for abortion.
There you’ll also find a great flyer you can print out and share with your friends. It really cuts through the confusion and explains how Obamacare funds abortion.
Another great resource for understanding and explaining what’s wrong with Obamacare is a new website from Americans United for Life called REAL Health Care Respects LIFE.
Please take the time to write your Congressman today and take some time to educate yourself with these two great resources.
And please continue to pray that our government will stop funding abortion—and forcing us to be a part of it.
The US Conference of Catholic Bishops is sponsoring another Fortnight for Freedom this year from June 21 to July 4, in response to the still looming threats to our religious freedom like the HHS Mandate.
From Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine and all points in between, dioceses across the country will be encouraging prayer and action to bring awareness to this crucial issue.
The bishops have asked for the assistance of the Stand Up for Religious Freedom Coalition and we are very excited to offer our resources to assist with the planning and execution of any rallies that may be held during the Fortnight.
Our national team can help with plans for a rally your diocese is hosting, or help connect you with the right people in your diocese to get one going if none is yet planned.
You can find a full list of diocesan events around the country right here, and if you’d like the Stand Up Coalition’s assistance with an event near you, send us a message on our contact form.

One of the great things about the media coverage of the March 23 and June 8 Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally was seeing the samesignsheld by rallyparticipantsnationwide.
For the March rally, we shipped 4,000 signs to rally captains in well over 100 cities. For the June rally, we upped the ante considerably — instead of thousands of signs, we shipped tens of thousands.
These signs are essential to keeping our message simple and conveying it in an unmistakably clear way: We are for religious freedom, and we are against the HHS Mandate.
This time around, we placed an order for 24,000 signs, and we’ve added a third sign to the line-up that reads, “Vote for Life and Liberty.”[Continue reading …]

The biggest issue in Election 2012 isn’t jobs, the economy or foreign policy, it’s the grave threat to our religious freedom posed by the HHS Mandate and other policies being implemented by the federal government.
That’s why it’s so important that we get the word out and today we’re happy to announce a new way you can do just that.
We’ve partnered with the sign pros at Heritage House to make “Vote for Religious Freedom” yard signs available for purchase! Order yours today right here!
These high quality coroplast signs make it clear to your neighbors what your priorities are this election season and will encourage others to stand up for religious freedom as well.
Order yours today. You’ll see there are steep discounts for ordering in quantities of 5 or more, so consider ordering 10 or 20 to share with your neighbors, friends or relatives. Let’s cover America’s lawns with the message of freedom!
As we move forward in the fight for religious freedom and the repeal of the HHS Mandate, it is becoming ever more clear that electoral change may be the only way back to a government that respects our religious freedom instead of threatening it.
With that in mind, the Stand Up for Religious Freedom campaign has added a new page of tools for Voting and Elections.
On this page you’ll find detailed instructions on holding a voter registration drive, voter guides to help educate citizens to make informed choices in the voting booth, resources on what is legally allowed in a church setting and more.
Use these tools to spread the word about the importance of voting to protect religious freedom in November and for educating and registering all the folks you know who share the belief that our fundamental freedoms must be protected.
Check back as we’ll be adding new resources as the election draws closer. Know of a great election or voting resource? Leave it in the comments to share!
