Nationwide Rally for Religious Freedom Explodes—Over 40 Cities!

Posted by Matt Yonke (February 17, 2012 at 11:12 pm)

mapIn just under a week, the National Rally for Religious Freedom has exploded from our initial two cities to over 40!

Some of the newest additions include Portland, Oregon; San Antonio, Texas; Allentown, Pennsylvania and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We mean it when we say “Nationwide”!

We’ve been blown away by the flood of calls and e-mails from around the country from folks wanting to know how they can get involved. This rally is going to be huge.

To see all the cities, visit the locations page. If you don’t see your city on the list, contact the coalition to get signed up.

This issue is way too important to throw together just another little rally here and there–especially on the west coast. Many of our brethren in the LA Archdiocese are poorly informed. In California, please assess the response to consider a northern and southern CA location. To make a good impact we need to go to where there are good numbers of people and the most bishops priests and church leaders participating. Our leaders make a huge difference. ie. connect with the organizers of the Walk for Life in SF.

All the Catholic Churches should be contacted so that it is announced. Also, Ave Maria Radio for the areas the rallys are being held.

I was the St Petersburg Rally Captain and purchased 100 buttons and 50 bumper stickers. Can’t locate supplier information so I can call them. I believe we are going to need many more buttons and bumper stickers considering Bishop’s update of 4/12/2012. Access to those excellent ‘heads up’ buttons and bumper stickers (at affordable prices, btw) should be on the STANDUP website.
