Today in Stevens Point, WI around 11:30am attendees for the Stand Up For Religious Freedom Rally started arriving and they kept coming.
The rally team was ready to hand out signs, fact sheets, buttons, American flags, red, white & blue balloons.
The excitement was in the air. At Noon sharp we started with opening prayer by Father Greg Bohren and he also read a letter from Bishop Callahan of the Diocese of La Crosse.
After Father Bohren, Phil Lawson, Director of Catechesis and Evangelization at St Peter’s Church talked about those who have done extraordinary things to defend their religious freedoms. Peggy Hamill, State Director of Pro-Life Wisconsin followed Phil who spoke on the history that brought us to the HHS Mandate. [Continue reading …]

The Baton Rouge Rally was excellent with about 350 in attendance.
Just prior to the noon start, bad weather and rain came through Baton Rouge. We lost our donated sound system due to rain because the equipment got wet and could not be used. We thought we were done. Then at about 11:45 am the sun came out and about 350 people started showing up. We had a smaller Sound System as backup so we were up and running. We were hoping for 500+, but considering the bad weather throughout the Baton Rouge area, 350 was a good turn-out.
Plus we got great media coverage. [Continue reading …]

A Dixieland jazz band. A swing dancing flash mob. Stirring speeches by members of the Jewish, Muslim, Protestant, and Catholic faiths. All of these and more were part of the Nationwide Rally for Religious Freedom’s flagship event today in downtown Chicago’s Federal Plaza.
A record crowd of 3,500 attended the rally—far surpassing the crowd of 2,500 that attended the city’s first Stand Up Rally on March 23.
This 40% increase in attendance is a clear sign that opposition to the HHS Mandate—not only in Chicago, but nationwide—is showing no signs of slowing down. [Continue reading …]

We need to keep this conversation going at work, at home, when we are out in public, and in our own corner of the digital continent.

In spite of threats of rain and thunder storms, Seattle rally organizers greeted more than 350 wonderful attendees at today’s event.
Opening ceremonies began with an introduction of the event’s emcee, Helen Nguyen. Nguyen, the daughter of Vietnamese parents who escaped VietNam on rickety boats and made their way to America, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies and her Master’s degree in Social Work, both degrrees from the University of Washington. Helen introduced Fr. Jim Northrop of St. Brendan Catholic Church (Bothell, WA) who gave the invocation.
After Fr. Northrop’s blessing, 12-year old vocalist, Allie Johnson, sang an inspirational rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. [Continue reading …]

Hundreds gathered on the steps of the Capitol Building in downtown Little Rock for today’s Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally. The Associated Press estimates at least 500 attendees were at the rally, but rally organizers estimate the number was closer to 800.

Building on the momentum of a successful Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally on March 23rd, the June 8 rally did not disappoint. Featuring our own Bishop William Medley – Diocese of Owensboro, the rally maintained an enthusiastic level throughout the hour long program. At the sound of the noon siren, the crowd of at least 400 citizens was spread across the lush lawn at Moreland Park, taking advantage of shade trees to listen to an impressive array of speakers and singers.
Both Federal and State level representation was heard sharing their inspiring and informative messages: US Senator Rand Paul, US Congressman Brett Guthrie and KY Senator Joe Bowen each either spoke or sent officials of their administrations. We also heard a moving account from a representative of Silent No More, who explained her reason for publicly sharing her heart-wrenching experiences as a post-abortive woman. [Continue reading …]

Over 500 attendees were present in historic Kelly Ingram Park today in opposition of the Obama Administration’s HHS Mandate, set to be ruled on by the Supreme Court at the end of the month. Speakers at the rally included Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange, who has led the state in a federal lawsuit against the Mandate.
Joining Strange were EWTN CEO and President, Michael Warsaw who has been at the forefront of the battle by making the largest Catholic Christian network in the world the first Catholic institution to file suit against the Obama Administration. [Continue reading …]

We had over 1,700 people attend today’s rally in Detroit.
Here is a link to some of the photos that were taken today.
If the liberal media is looking to paint this as a “War on Women”, they are going to have to explain why the majority of participants in this “war” are women and children.
